An Ohio family is grieving the loss of their 7-month-old daughter who was mauled to death by one of their three pit bulls on Wednesday.

Elizah Turner was rushed to a nearby fire station and then taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital at around noon, but she couldn’t be saved.

“I will never understand why!!! I am so lost and broken. This was the same dog who was side by side with my baby every single day,” Elizah’s mother said.
