Selden news, Long Island news.

A Long Island boy is behind bars after he attacked his mother and grandmother with a chef’s knife inside their Selden home late Monday night.

Police said the 15-year-old boy had been “acting out as of late, skipping school and barricading himself in his bedroom.”

On Monday night, the boy’s mother, Vanessa Chendemi, confronted him about content he had on his computer and threatened to confiscate the device, something her mother, 56-year-old Concetta Chendemi, encouraged.
