Chicago man found shot to death inside burning residence

Authorities in Chicago, Illinois are investigating after a man was found shot to death inside a burning residence early Saturday morning.

Police responded to reports of a fire at a home in the 4900 block of South Cornell Avenue in the Hyde Park neighborhood at around 6:30 a.m.

    The fire was completely extinguished by 8 a.m. Authorities are investigating how it started.

    Police are also investigating the death as a homicide.
