Arizona toddler shoots himself; teen brother arrested

An Arizona toddler is recovering after he accidentally shot himself in the hand with his teen brother’s unsecured gun last week.

Deputies in the Pima County Sheriff’s Department rushed to a Tucson home on March 3 after a 2-year-old found a gun and blew his hand off.

    “The preliminary investigation revealed that 19-year-old Jeremiah Vaughn left a firearm within the child’s reach, leading to the child gaining access to the weapon and inadvertently discharging it,” said Deputy Adam Schoonover.
