Authorities in New York City are looking for the mother of a 3-year-old boy who was dropped off deceased at a Brooklyn hospital Sunday morning.

An autopsy conducted on the toddler was inconclusive, officials said Wednesday, and the child’s cause of death remains a mystery.

Police said Kyng Royal Foster was dropped at SUNY Downstate Medical Center shortly before 11:25 a.m. Sunday by his mother and her boyfriend who took off in a four-door sedan.

The tot’s godmother Sabrina Johnson pleaded with his mother to surrender outside the hospital.

“If you’re seeing this baby, turn yourself in. It’s easier for you to turn yourself in and explain yourself, versus them finding you. It’s a sad situation that the life of a 3-year-old is gone. And we’re going to miss him.”
