4 dead after stolen car crashes into tree in Cleveland

Four people were killed in the early hours of Wednesday when a stolen car crashed into a tree, police in Cleveland said.

The “very violent” crash occurred around 12:30 a.m. when the car traveling at “very high speed” lost control and collided into a tree.

Three occupants were ejected from the car and killed. The driver, who was not ejected from the vehicle, also died.

  • Police said the Hyundai Sonata was reported stolen on Feb. 27. The victims were reportedly two males and two females.

    The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner identified two of the victims as Kalise McGee, 14, and the driver Eddy Deandre Bonner, 18.

    The two other victims were reportedly either minors or young people in their 20s.
