Two people were found dead inside a village of Waukesha home last week and authorities said they have a person of interest in custody.
Deputies with the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department responded to a welfare check request at the home at around 9:45 a.m. Friday and located a deceased person.
The following day, police confirmed that another person was found dead inside the home. A person of interest is in custody.

Relatives identified the two decedents as Donald Mayer, 51, and his wife Tatiana.
“He loved his family. We don’t know what happened to cause this,” Donald’s sister said.
Another relative said the couple lived with Mayer’s stepson. It remains unclear if the stepson was the person of interest in the case.
