Chicago news, Illinois news.

Authorities in Chicago have asked for the public’s help in identifying potential victims of a teen serial killer who murdered at least six people.

Antonio Reyes, now 21, allegedly shot six strangers dead as they went about their daily lives with a .40 caliber handgun when he was 17.

“None of these people had ever met Antonio Reyes before, and there’s no reason to suspect Antonio Reyes had any reason to target them,” said Cook County State’s Attorney Eileen O’Neill Burke at a Wednesday press conference.

Even after he was taken into custody in 2020, Reyes tried to slaughter his cellmate with a shiv.

“These were six lives that were brutally taken,” Chicago Police Superintendent Larry Snelling added.

“It’s difficult to comprehend how anyone could easily take someone’s life and especially so many in one year. Who knows how many he may have been responsible for?”
