Early-morning fire kills 3 people in Queens home

Three people died in an early Sunday house fire in Queens, local fire officials said.

Flames caught a house on 208th Street near 33rd Avenue in Bayside at around 2:40 a.m.

Firefighters and first responders rushed to the scene and located three injured victims including a 56-year-old man who was pronounced dead at the scene.

  • The two other victims, women aged 54 and 90, died in area hospitals. The victims’ names were not immediately released.

    The FDNY said that around 106 firefighters responded to the blaze before bringing it under control by 4 a.m.

    The deadly fire remains under investigation.
