A Missouri woman turned herself in to Aurora police confessing that she “just murdered her estranged husband” before shooting his ex-boyfriend and his girlfriend killing her.
Taylor Santiago, 31, allegedly told detectives that she got the idea of murdering the two men, who are her children’s fathers, while grabbing a cup of coffee at a convenience store late Wednesday.
Santiago said she lured her estranged husband Troy Huffman to her apartment telling him he could see their 12-year-old son.
When Huffman arrived at the apartment, Santiago told the child to cover his ears while she fatally shot his dad twice in another room.
The woman took Huffman’s car keys and traveled about 50 miles away to Carroll County where she shot her ex-boyfriend and his new partner.
The man is fighting for his life while his girlfriend was declared dead at the scene. Detectives said Santiago had custody issues with two men.
“I wish she would’ve come to us before she did all of this so we could’ve helped her,” Aurora Police Chief Wes Coatney said.
