Mom fed toddlers once a day; left them unattended for hours before finding girl dead under dresser

An Indianapolis mother was charged after she allegedly admitted to neglecting her two toddlers, causing her 2-year-old daughter’s death.

Chantell Gardner, 33, found her 2-year-old daughter Skylar Gardner deceased and cold to the touch under a bedroom dresser.

Officers responding to her home observed trash across the floor, human feces, and soiled items strewn across the residence.

    Gardner’s boyfriend told cops she stayed at his home every night leaving her kids alone.

    The mother confessed to leaving her toddlers alone for several hours only feeding them once a week. She denied harming the children.

    Gardner has been charged with child neglect causing death.
