A Mississippi man surrendered to police this week after he allegedly kidnapped his ex-girlfriend who died after falling out of his moving car while suffering gunshot wounds.

Joshua Andrews, 29, allegedly kidnapped Glynis Jackson from the parking lot of a Nissan plant in Canton on Monday morning.

After forcing the mother-of-three into his car, Andrews drove onto Interstate 55, Holmes County Sheriff Willie March said.

While Andrews traveled in Holmes County, Jackson fell out of the moving vehicle and was struck by another vehicle. She died at the scene, March said.

Andrews, who had previously spent jail time for aggravated assault, turned himself in to Carroll County authorities. He will be prosecuted in Madison County.

“The young man that did this, we also had arrested him several years ago and sent him to prison for aggravated assault,” March said.
