Wanted man arrested weeks after allegedly killing girlfriend; 2 teens in Wisconsin

Authorities in Wisconsin arrested a man wanted for the murders of his girlfriend and two teen girls.

The Juneau County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a suspicious person who spotted Virgil Thew in the city of Elroy.

    On Dec. 30, New Lisbon Police found the bodies of 33-year-old Elizabeth Kolba, her 12-year-old stepdaughter, and a 13-year-old friend inside Thew’s mother’s home while investigating the disappearance of the two girls.

    A statewide crime alert was issued for Thew with several local and state law enforcement agencies including the FBI and U.S. Marshal Services assisting in the manhunt.
