Police seek public’s help in identifying woman found dead in fridge in NJ state forest

Authorities in Cape May County, New Jersey are seeking the public’s help with identifying human remains found in a fridge in a state forest last week.

The deceased woman was discovered in Belleplain State Forest in Dennis Township on Dec. 22.

Investigators said the remains belonged to a white or Hispanic woman who stood about 5’1” tall.

  • The woman had two tattoos, a koi fish tattoo on the back of the shoulder and a rose tattoo on her left ribs, from her chest to her hip.

    At the scene, police also found “a distinctive yoga mat and necklace.”

    Police did not release further information about the woman’s cause or manner of death or how she ended up in the fridge.
