Skeletal remains found in Georgia IDed as missing Alabama woman

A Montgomery, Alabama woman was found dead in a wooded area of northwest Georgia six months after she went missing.

The Walker County Sheriff’s Office tentatively identified skeletal remains discovered by a homeowner’s dog as 23-year-old Timaya Williams.

The remains were found late Thursday near the Cooper Heights community home in a wooded area of Georgia State Route 193.

    Williams went missing in early June and is believed to have died by suicide.

    Her car was found abandoned on the right of way of Georgia State Route 193 and towed after a few days.
