North Arlington news, New Jersey news.

A beloved New Jersey teacher was found dead in his submerged car and pulled out of the Passaic River Tuesday.

Brain Kolakowski, 37, went missing on Dec. 4 but was two days later caught on scanning security footage driving his Volkswagen Jetta down a boat ramp into the river.

Recovery efforts lasted several days due to “adverse weather conditions and poor underwater visibility,” authorities said.
