Two children were among six people killed in a wrong-way crash that occurred early Friday morning in Jackson, Mississippi.
The Jackson Police Department said a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling south in the northbound lanes of Interstate 55 at around 2:45 a.m. when it struck a Hyundai Sonata near Daniel Lake.

The deceased were the driver of the Silverado and the five occupants of the Hyundai.
Police said two children and a teen were among the deceased. The victims’ identities were not immediately made public.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the victims of this tragic event,” the Jackson Police Department said.
