A wrong-way crash claimed the life of a police sergeant on Thanksgiving morning, Massachusetts State Police said.

Cops responded to reports of a Tesla traveling the wrong way south on Interstate 95 at around midnight.

State troopers prepared a tire-deflation device in Georgetown to stop the wrong-way car in the Newbury port area.

Before reaching the device, the Tesla crashed into a Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Endicott College Police Sgt. Jeremy Cole.
