‘No Kings Day’ protests descend into chaos as man plows SUV into crowd in Virginia

At least four officers were injured in Portland as thousands of protesters took to the streets on “No Kings Day,” spreading chaos and violence across multiple states.

In Portland, angry demonstrators in black clothing clashed with federal officers at the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement office and threw fireworks and water bottles at them.

    In Virginia, 21-year-old Joseph R. Checklick Jr. plowed his SUV into a crowd of protesters in a Culpeper parking lot, “striking at least one person with his vehicle.”

    Around 2,000 “No Kings Day” protests took place across the country Saturday with huge crowds chanting and holding “No Kings” banners, pushing back against President Trump’s immigration and civil rights policies.
