Florida man shoots fiancée dead after she called off engagement: ‘I blew her brains out’

A Florida man admitted to killing his fiancée after she ended their engagement following an argument Sunday.

Timothy Hyder, 57, and Natalie “Dawn” Du’Mee started arguing at a football watch party before they returned home and continued the argument.

At some point, DuMee told Hyder she wanted to call off their relationship handing over her engagement ring.

  • Hyder told detectives that he “snapped”, went upstairs, and retrieved a gun before returning to ask DuMee if she was serious about her decision.

    When DuMee replied that she was, Hyder fired at her, hitting her head.

    The victim’s daughter came downstairs after hearing the gunshot to find her deceased mother on the back porch of the home.

    Hyder allegedly admitted to the daughter: “I blew her brains out.” He also told her to call the police.
