Elderly NYC man plunges to death after several intruders break in to apartment

A New York City man plunged to his death early Saturday when several intruders broke into his Manhattan apartment, police said.

73-year-old Jacinto Remigio was found unresponsive on the second-floor scaffolding of his apartment building in Washington Heights when police responded to the burglary.

    The suspect tied up the victim’s 40-year-old son before stealing a gold chain worth $8,000 and $200 in cash.

    Remigio succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital. His son was unharmed, police said.
