A woman was killed, and three others wounded including two police officers in a dog attack in a Boston neighborhood Monday evening.
Officers responded to reports of a dog attach in the city’s Roxbury neighborhood at around 5 p.m.
The woman, who was the dog owner, was found suffering from life-threatening injuries at the scene. She died at the hospital.
A man was also injured when police arrived. Two officers were attacked and bit by the canine before it was shot dead.
“Obviously the dog, given what he did to the two victims, the owners of the dogs, the officers made the decision to discharge and put the dog down,” Police Deputy Superintendent Paul McLaughlin said.
Authorities removed three other dogs from the residence.
