Two girls, aged 13 and 14 years old, were convicted of stomping a 64-year-old disabled man to death in Oct. 2023.
On Monday, the girls were found guilty of second-degree murder, assault, and conspiracy to commit assault in connection to the death of Reggie Brown.
The younger girl was also convicted of tampering with physical evidence. The teens now face imprisonment until turning 21 years old.
The girls were among a group of teens, including a 15-year-old, who pleaded guilty in October and provided details of the tragic events.
She revealed that the group of girls felt “bored” as they walked home from a Maryland skate park and decided to “find someone to beat up.”
While walking on Georgia Avenue, the girls encountered a man beating up another in a blue coat and approached them.
The girls asked if they “could help” to which the assailant agreed. One of the girls filmed the attack on her cellphone as several others stomped on Brown’s head.
