An elderly Louisiana woman is fighting for her life after she was partially eaten by her neighbor’s vicious dogs earlier this week.
The victim fell while walking on her driveway on Randall Avenue in Livingston Parish on Tuesday triggering the attack.
Before she could get back up, the dogs jumped on her and began mauling her in front of horrified witnesses.
“When I went over there, she was laying on the ground, paramedics bandaging her up,” a neighbor said describing the woman’s injuries as “graphic.”
“The paramedics said she was torn up pretty good around her calf, her right leg was bit, her arm was bit and the dog bit her on the back of her neck.”
Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard said the owner of the dogs had previously been fined after repeated attacks on neighbors.
Maria Vincent was arrested and charged with negligent injuring in connection to the incident.
“You can be charged with negligent injuring and you can be sued by these homeowners for medical bills” Ard said.
“It’s going to come back to bite you, that’s what’s going to happen.”
