Suspect in custody after 2 NJ women slaughtered inside their home

A Pennsylvania man was taken into custody days after he allegedly shot the mother and the maternal grandmother of his son to death at their New Jersey home.

Junior Edwards, 37, was charged with two counts of first-degree murder, home invasion burglary armed with a firearm, unlawful possession of a weapon, and other counts in connection to Wednesday’s incident.

    Detectives initially believed the women were killed during a burglary but later determined the incident was “targeted.”

    Edwards and Catherine Nunez’s son, 8, was found unharmed inside the home leading investigators to focus on Edwards as a potential suspect.
