Kansas man dies after getting trapped by heavy machinery while working on farm

An elderly man was found dead after he became trapped underneath heavy machinery at a Kansas farm, local authorities said.

The tragic incident occurred Saturday morning shortly before Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a farm northwest of Ottawa at around 9 a.m.

    The man was eventually declared dead at the scene. His identity was not disclosed.

    The incident remains under investigation, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office said.
