A 13-year-old New York City girl died last weekend while trying triansurfing with a friend who is now clinging to life.
Krystel Romero, 13, died at the 111th Street station in Queens Sunday after she fell from the top of a 7 train.
Her 14-year-old friend suffered a skull fracture and brain bleeding and is unable to breathe on herself as she remains in critical condition at Elmhurst Hospital.
A family friend said nobody was aware that the girls were riding on top of trains or even taking the subways.
“Krystel’s mom told her not to do anything like this. I don’t know what made her take this decision…She fell on the tracks for likes on TikTok,”
“They were doing it for social media,” he said adding that the teens “just want likes” and “think they can make money from their social media.”
“Don’t take a risk just for TikTok likes.”
