‘It’s not worth your life’: NYC boy, 11, killed while subway surfing

A New York City boy died this week after trying subway surfing, a grieving family said.

Cayden Thompson, 11, was riding on top of a G train when he struck his head on a metal extension in the Fourth Avenue station Monday.

  • Thompson died after the incident. His uncle believes the preteen was influenced by subway surf videos he had been watching online.

    “It’s really easy to get hooked onto that stuff because once you do it it’s that adrenaline rush,” Christian Vega said.

    “Other kids who are thinking of going into subway surfing and other kids who still do, just stop doing it. It’s not worth your life.”
