The devastated family of a Queens teen found dead on train tracks last week is asking his friends to come forward and tell what happened on that fateful day.
15-year-old Anthony Bhagwandeen died from a severe head injury after he was found on the elevated track at the Beach 90th St. station Friday.
“Let’s say he was [subway] surfing. He wouldn’t have gone alone. If he had friends with him, they didn’t stay. They didn’t stick around after he fell,” Lennox DeCruz said of his grandson.
DeCruz said the teen also suffered broken legs though it remains unclear if another train struck him or had just died from the fall onto the tracks.
“I was shocked when I heard they found his body. He never talked about subway surfing. He never told me.”
“He was a good kid. Playful in a childish way. He liked sports. Recently he started playing cricket. He liked playing with his friends.
