Kent news, Washington news.

Authorities in Seattle, Washington have arrested three teens for plotting to rob a 13-year-old before fatally shooting him earlier this month.

Matthiew Stavkovy showed up with his sister and a friend at Turnkey Park in Kent on July 16 to sell a camera and some equipment to a buyer he met through the OfferUp website.

Police said Faysal J. Abdullahi, 18, negotiated with the seller when an accomplice started firing at the group. Two brothers, aged 17 and 19, were later arrested in connection to the incident.

“The defendant orchestrated an armed robbery that left a 13-year-old bystander dead and narrowly missed striking his 15-year-old sister with bullets,” Senior Deputy Prosecutor Thomas O’Ban said.

“Despite the defendant’s young age, this shows a surprising amount of planning and forethought,”

“While the defendant himself may not have intended to kill any of the victims that night, he orchestrated and set in motion a chain of events that killed one and could have easily killed others.”
