Deadly crash claimed lives of woman, infant in Phoenix

A fatal collision at a major Phoenix intersection claimed the lives of a woman and infant Friday afternoon.

Authorities said that 25-year-old Kristina Lara and 2-month-old Josiah Lara died in the crash that occurred just before 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

    Witnesses said the sedan was swerving in and out of traffic and ran through a yellow light before it crashed into the truck.

    The victims were passengers in the sedan. Three other children in the car were sent to a hospital. None of the four children in the sedan wore seat belts at the time of the collision.
