A fatal collision at a major Phoenix intersection claimed the lives of a woman and infant Friday afternoon.
Authorities said that 25-year-old Kristina Lara and 2-month-old Josiah Lara died in the crash that occurred just before 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

Police responded to 19th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road; A sedan driven by a 23-year-old man collided with a pickup truck as it made a left turn onto Lower Buckeye.
Witnesses said the sedan was swerving in and out of traffic and ran through a yellow light before it crashed into the truck.
The victims were passengers in the sedan. Three other children in the car were sent to a hospital. None of the four children in the sedan wore seat belts at the time of the collision.
