Maine man accused of threatening people with homemade bombs; dropping some using drones

A Maine man is behind bars accused of threatening and intimidating people with whom he had issues using homemade explosives.

Joshua Brydon, 37, was arrested on October 12 after an 18-month investigation involving the Maine Fire Marhsal’s Office, the Maine State Police, the FBI, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and Homeland Security Investigations.

  • Authorities allege Brydon created explosives from fireworks, propane bottles, and other materials and used drones to drop the bombs at the homes of individuals with whom he had ongoing disputes.

    The explosions were strong enough to knock objects off a wall, investigators said.

    Brydon was hit with a slew of charges including arson, stalking, criminal use of explosives, and endangering the welfare of a child.
