A New York middle school paraprofessional is accused of killing her older sister and dumping her body in a river earlier this week.
Penny Busch’s body was found in the Genesee River after an extensive search of her 8-acre property in the Village of Honeoye Falls.
The 61-year-old was last seen alive on October 6, at her home. Her body was positively identified on Friday.
“Investigators established significant evidence and probable cause to arrest her sister, Jamie Busch, for the murder of Penny Busch,” the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said.
The 53-year-old suspect was a middle school paraprofessional with the Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School District.
“Although we have never encountered a situation like this in our district, we are confident that, as a community, we will come together, support one another, and get through this difficult time,” Superintendent Gene Mancuso said.
