Husband arrested after wife found dead in closet in Philadelphia home: ‘He was a bit crazy’

A Philadelphia man was charged this week after the body of his wife was discovered in a closet, police said.

Vladimir Lushvskiy, 65, was preliminarily charged with abuse of a corpse pending autopsy results in the death of his 61-year-old wife Lola Karabaeva.

Karabaeva went missing Sunday after returning home from a month-long trip to Europe.

    Police visited her home Wednesday morning and made the shocking discovery of her body, wrapped in plastic in a closet.

    “I did not talk too much to Vladimir, that’s her husband. He’s a little bit crazy,” a longtime friend said.

    A motive remains unclear but neighbors said Vladimir had been threatening Karabaeva since she returned from her trip.
