A 2-year-old boy was found dead and his brother in critical condition after a “suspicious incident” at a Hilton, New York home on Monday.
The toddler was pronounced dead by paramedics responding to a child having a seizure.
The boy’s twin brother was hospitalized and is currently in guarded condition, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said.
Police said drugs were not found at the scene and carbon monoxide poisoning is not suspected in the incident.
The boys’ parents and siblings were at the home at the time of the incident.
“This was a 2-year-old and his death is a huge loss for the community,” Sheriff’s spokesman Deputy Brendan Hurley said.
“We owe it to the family and to everyone to find out what happened here and to get answers.”
