An 18-month-old Indiana girl died this week after she ingested a mysterious substance from a backyard four days earlier.
Azana Trentman’s parents said she became unresponsive on Sept. 4 after she ingested the unknown substance from a store backyard.
She went to several hospitals and underwent multiple scans and tests but her condition took a turn for the worse.
Azana’s cause of death is pending autopsy results. Her family said the substance she ingested remained undetermined but she helped save other people’s lives.
“It’s a miracle that three young lives were also affected by this because they were the recipients of little Azana’s organs,” the relatives said.
