Athlete collapses, dies after running Disneyland’s half-marathon

A runner with no known medical condition died this week after competing at Disneyland’s half marathon amid soaring temperatures.

35-year-old Bobby Graves finished the race in under two hours but started grabbing his chest after crossing the finish line at Sunday morning’s event.

First responders ran over and tended to Graves performing life-saving measures. The runner tragically succumbed at the hospital.

    Authorities said Graves had no known medical issues before participating in the half-marathon.

    The Golden State experienced record, triple-digit heat over the last weekend. An autopsy will determine whether heat played a role in Graves’ death.
