San Diego news, California news.

A TikToker convicted earlier this year of killing his wife and her friend in October 2021 was sentenced to life in prison.

Ali Abulanan was convicted in May of the murders of Ana Abulaban, 28, and Rayburn Cardenas Barron, 29.

The estranged husband used an app he installed on his 5-year-old daughter’s iPad to spy on Ana after she kicked him out of their apartment.

On Friday, Abulaban clapped to the cheering crowd as Judge Jeffrey Fraser said he will “die in prison.”

The sentence was delivered after he issued an apology blaming the crime on mental illness and drug use.

“The bottom line here is, he will die in prison. He will never be a free man. He will take his last breath there,” the judge said.
