Two Florida juveniles were charged this week after they allegedly participated in a TikTok challenge called the “Door Kick Challenge.”
The 15-year-old boys reportedly lived within walking distance from their victims’ home, Hernando County Sheriff Al Nienhuis said.
Investigators allege they walked up to at least four doors and kicked doors. On some occasions, the doors would fly open.
“This situation was exceptionally dangerous on several levels,” the Sheriff said.
“First, there was a very good possibility that these young men could have been shot and killed by a homeowner lawfully defending the household,”
“Second, if this occurred, the homeowner would have been burdened with the fact that he or she killed two teenagers who were participating in a stupid activity.”
The teens were charged with four counts of burglary of a dwelling.
