Newsom thanks Trump after he ‘accidentally’ praised him, Kamala Harris

Former President Donald Trump unintentionally praised Vice President Kamala Harris and California Governor Gavin Newsom during a Thursday stop at the southern border.

“California, you can’t go into San Francisco. It’s not livable,” Trump told reporters in Cochise County, Arizona.

    Fifteen years ago, Harris was San Francisco’s district attorney. Gavin Newsom was the city’s mayor and both served in those positions from 2004 to 2011.

    Newsom took Trump’s remarks for compliments posting on X: “Thanks, @realDonaldTrump!!”
