Trump reacts to Obamas’ DNC remarks: ‘I’m trying to be nice to these people’

In an exclusive statement to DailyMail, former President Donald Trump commented on the fiery remarks Barack and Michelle Obama made about him at the Democratic National Convention Tuesday.

Trump said the Obamas mocked and attacked him despite calling for more respect and less personal attacks on political opponents.

“I’m trying to be nice to these people,” Trump said of the matter following his Asheboro, North Carolina rally.

“They were lousy presidents, and you know this one coming. It’s the worst.”

    “She makes Obama look like…I mean, forget it…She’s a radical Marxist person that ruined everything in her path.”

    The 45th President called Michelle Obama “very nasty to me” while labeling her husband “a nice gentleman” who was “weak on trade.”

    “I happen to like him. I respect him and I respect his wife,” Trump admitted.

    “They say, Oh, don’t be personal. Talk about policy. I want to talk about policy…But people say, don’t get personal, but then they get personal.”
