Female firefighter takes own life after abducting; killing ex-boyfriend

Authorities in Georgia released more details about the deaths of two firefighters found shot to death inside a vehicle in Tennessee.

Raegan Anderson, 24, shot herself dead after gunning down her longtime boyfriend Chandler Kuhbander, also 24, leaving behind a suicide note.

“I’m sorry to whoever found us. I am sorry to everyone I hurt. Tell her how sorry I am. I love you Nanna. I want her to inherit everything,” Anderson said on the note dated June 25.

  • The couple worked for Liberty County Fire Services in Hinesville. They broke up in 2023 after a seven-year relationship, police said.

    Anderson was reportedly “unstable” when she forced Kuhbander to leave with her on June 24 near the Oglethorpe Mall in Savannah, Georgia.

    Investigators said the couple was at a Circle K in South Carolina hours before the murder-suicide that occurred in Cosby, Tennessee.

    Days before the tragedy, Anderson was arrested for vandalizing Kuhbander’s vehicle after he went on a date with another woman.
