The body of a 20-year-old New Mexico woman was recovered by crews in the Grand Canyon this week after a multiday search.
Leticia A. Castillo was found dead on Tuesday below Twin Overlooks, the National Park Service said.

“Park rangers recovered the body which was located approximately 150 ft. below the rim,” the NPS said in a statement.
Castillo entered the Grand Canyon on or around August 3, the NPS added. Her cause of death is pending the investigation of the Coconino County medical examiner.
The death marks the third fatality in the Grand Canyon since July 31.
