A man is dead after he was run over by a Metrorail train near the Texas Medical Center in Houston, police said Thursday.
The incident occurred at around 7:30 p.m. as the victim got off the train at the Texas Medical Center Transit station.

The victim collapsed, fell between two cars, and got run over by the train as it departed the station, officials said.
He was pronounced deceased at the scene. The death is being investigated as an accident.
The investigation suspended train service in the area but shuttle buses remained running throughout the probe.
