Ohio man accused of stabbing elderly father to death; mutilating body for not putting son on will

Three relatives of an Ohio man have now been charged in connection to his gruesome death, authorities said.

Trotwood resident Edgar Keiter Sr.’s legs were discovered in trash bags at the end of a neighbor’s driveway in April. More remains were found in a storage unit.

The victim’s 52-year-old son Edgar Keiter Jr. was arrested weeks later on charges of gross abuse of a corpse, theft, and tampering with evidence.

  • Keiter Jr.’s girlfriend, Amanda Reiff, 40, has this month been indicted with complicity after a witness told detectives she told her she would have to move the victim’s body from the storage unit after Keiter’s arrest.

    The victim’s grandson, Tygan Keiter, allegedly told detectives his father was “trying to male Keiter Sr. put [him] on his will” before the slaying.

    Keiter Jr. allegedly told Tygan he would kill his father if he didn’t accept before he found him dead “with a knife through his chest” during a visit to the victim’s home.

    Tygan was also charged with four counts of tampering with evidence for using his grandfather’s phone in an attempt to make others believe was still alive.
