A 23-year-old Haunted House actor has admitted to killing and disemboweling his best friends late in 2022 during a visit to his Alabama home.
Brandon Christopher Risner, 23, confessed to killing 21-year-old Aaron William Davis whose dismembered body was buried in a shallow grave.
The suspect and victim were childhood friends who attended high school and church together in Cumming, Georgia.
“Risner used a sharp object to stab Mr. Davis multiple times in the head, chest, torso, and extremities, leading to his death,”
The suspect reportedly removed parts of Davis’ body including a portion of his victim’s intestines.
“He [Risner] removed the body of Davis from one location off Collingwood Road to another off of Tumlin Drive where he buried said person in an unmarked grave,” a criminal indictment read.
“[Risner] attempted to get rid of the vehicle driven by [Davis], which contained blood, and tried to remove blood on the mattress and the carpet and a rug as well as blood and blood spatter on a ceiling of an upstairs bedroom.”
While a motive for the gruesome slaying remains unclear, Davis’ parents said the confession “felt like betrayal.”
“He’s been as much of a son to us as anyone. It’s really like losing two kids at this point,” Davis’ father said.
