Police in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana are actively looking for two girls whose mother was found “brutally” murdered in a bloody scene early Thursday.
The body of 35-year-old Callie Brunett was discovered in her North Cooper Road home Thursday morning after she vanished 24 hours earlier.
Brunett’s father made the gruesome discovery of the woman’s lifeless body with “blood everywhere” at the crime scene.
Her daughters, 6-year-old Jalie and 3-year-old Erin, are “unaccounted for”, said Sheriff Daniel Edwards.
An Amber Alert was issued for the two girls and a white male is sought for questioning in connection to the murder and abduction.
The victim’s car, which is also missing, was described as a black 2012 Chrysler 200 with Louisiana license plate 859GML.
The car may be driven by the “armed and dangerous” suspect, authorities said.
Anyone with information about the missing girls is asked to call Lt. Jacob Schwebel at 985-902-2037.
