An Ohio woman was indicted for murder and attempted murder Wednesday days after she randomly stabbed a toddler to death and wounded his mother outside a grocery store.

Bionca Ellis, 32, stands accused of killing 3-year-old Julian Wood in a random act of violence outside of a North Olmsted Giant Eagle store Monday.

“All information gathered at this time indicates this is a random act of violence and the defendant and the victims never met,” Police Spokesperson Matt Beck said.

Ellis stole two knives from a nearby store at around 3 p.m. before she walked into the Giant Eagle and spotted Julian and his 38-year-old mother leaving the store.
