‘He loved her’: Queens man stabbed to death by beloved daughter

An elderly Queens man was stabbed to death by his sole daughter Wednesday morning, police said.

Peter Cavak, 70, was found dead at his South Richmond Hill home at 7:16 a.m. Wednesday.

Neighbors heard Cavak and his daughter arguing before his wife discovered him lying dead with multiple stab wounds.

Police arrested his daughter in New Jersey and charges against her are pending.

  • “The first daughter…she passed and this was the only daughter he had left,” a neighbor said.

    “Every car she had, he bought, he paid her college, painted her rooms, gave her allowance. He loved her.”

    Cavak was a former dispatcher and MTA bus driver; he is remembered as a “very nice man who didn’t deserve to die that way.”

    “He was one of the kindest persons you can find,” another neighbor added.
