Sumter County news, Florida news.

A Florida boy is dead and another is detained on murder charges after a fatal stabbing at a Sumter County mobile home.

The 16-year-old suspect showed up unannounced at the home of his victim, 15-year-old Connor Gill, late Saturday before stabbing him to death and attacking a family member.

Investigators believe the juvenile suspect planned his alleged act and even ordered the crime weapons online.

“When the weapons arrived on Saturday, he unwrapped the weapons, played with them a little bit then he walked nearly six miles to the victim’s residence,” said Sumter County Undersheriff Pat Breeden.
